In our second week of school we are continuing to practice learning routines such as communicating in circle, asking questions, making books in the writer’s workshop and playing math games.
Here are a few important announcements:
1) First unit of inquiry homework – Today we sent a family homework assignment related to our first unit of inquiry, Who we are – the Five Senses. Please assist your child in choosing small objects to bring to place in the sensory centers. You will find more information in their folders. Let us know if you have questions.
2) Sharing time (a.k.a. show and tell) – Next week we will begin another learning routine, sharing time. This is important in connecting your child’s learning experience with home and school as well as supporting his/her development as a confident and respectful communicator.
